New to OhioSwings, or new to the lifestyle? Here is what people ask us most.
Do I need a membership or an invitation?
No. No membership, no application, no reservation. Bring your ID to the door any night we are open. (The online membership on this website is optional. It is for meeting people on the site; you don't need it to come to a party.)
Is it OK if we've never done this before?
Yes. Lots of our guests started here. When you check in, we give you a tour and explain the house rules. Our parties are laid back: do as much or as little as you are comfortable with. Many first-timers just talk, dance and watch.
Who can come?
Couples, single ladies and single men, 21 and over. LGBTQ+ and trans guests are welcome. At the door we go by the gender on your ID.
Which night is best for a first visit?
Wednesdays are quieter: cards, karaoke and conversation, good for easing in. Fridays and Saturdays are themed parties with a DJ and dancing; Saturday is the busiest night.
When are you open?
Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, plus Thirsty Thursday on the fourth Thursday of the month and special nights. Doors open at 8 PM and close to new arrivals at midnight.
What does it cost?
| Night | Couples | Single men | Single ladies |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wednesday | $20 | $30 | Free |
| Friday | $30 | $40 | Free |
| Saturday | $40 | $50 | Free |
Cash donation at the door. Big nights such as Halloween, New Year's Eve and the camp-out weekends are priced on the events page. You can also buy tickets online (the site adds a fee).
Do we have to dress for the theme?
No, but it's a great ice breaker, and a lot of people have fun with it. Come neat and freshly showered: no work clothes, dirty jeans or sweatpants.
What are the rules?
No means no. Ask before you touch, man or woman. Couples arrive and leave together. Single ladies are treated with respect; following or pestering them is not allowed. Whisper in the play areas. No illegal drugs, no prostitution, and anyone who has had too much to drink is asked to leave. We do enforce the rules. Full list on the Rules page.
Can I bring my phone?
No phones, cameras or recording devices inside, for everyone's privacy. Leave your phone in your car or at your campsite; you can step out to check it as often as you like.
Do you sell alcohol?
No. It's BYOB, and we supply mixers. Light snacks are out every night; special nights have food.
Is there somewhere to play privately?
Yes. There are eight private rooms, and condoms are provided.
Are there lockers?
About 32. Bring your own lock, or get one from us for a $15 donation.
Can we shower?
Yes: two showers, one single and one for four people. Bring your own towels.
Can we stay over?
Yes, at no extra charge. Once you are in, you can stay until 10 AM. The private rooms can be used for sleeping, first come first served, from 2:30 AM, so people can play in them until then.
Can we camp?
Yes. Our own campground is open all year on party nights: $20 per campsite on top of the door donation, and camping is included on camp-out weekends. Campers can stay until noon. See the Camping page.
Can we take an Uber or Lyft?
Yes. Ask the person checking you in how pick-up works.
Where are you?
12225 Gerlaugh Rd, New Carlisle, OH 45344, about 15 minutes north of Dayton, on 16 private country acres with plenty of parking. Look for two big pillars with the letter "E"; the house can't be seen from the road, so follow the long lane. Coming from Cincinnati? See OhioSwings near Cincinnati.
